If Jesus was a Jew why do Jews not get to heaven? Or do they?
God chose the Jewish nation to be a people that he could bring his Word to, set apart for himself and bring his Son into the world through.
However, salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and we are saved by the grace of God not by any works we do or any social or ethnic group we are part of.
Today Jews are called by God, like us, to believe that Jesus is who he claimed to be…the fulfillment of the prophecies and so the saviour of all those who trust in him. Jews can be saved, not by having faith in their Jewish lineage but by trusting in the crucified and risen Lord Jesus.
‘You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized
into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek,
slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.’ Galatians
Ch 3 v26-
